How we order listings
Last updated: 13 October 2026
1. The main factor: how well the seller looks after buyers
Every seller has a ranking score worked out from their own record on Velor. It is made up of: buyer star ratings (30%), paid orders that get shipped (20%), few disputes and refunds (15%), few cancellations (10%), number of delivered orders (15%) and how often they reply to buyers' messages (10%). New sellers start at zero and move up as they complete orders. Listings from sellers with a higher score appear higher.
2. Small boosts we add
Some sellers get a small, fixed boost on top of their score. It is never large enough to lift a poorly rated seller above a well rated one.
- Founding sellers (the first verified seller from each country to list a live item): +8.
- Makers with a piece in the current weekly drop: +5.
- A small number of older sellers on a plan that no longer exists keep a +8 boost. Only the larger of the founding and plan boosts counts.
3. How the shop is arranged
In the shop, the “Recommended” order starts from the ranking score, then mixes sellers and categories so you don't see a long run from one seller, and brings a few of the newest listings near the top. You can also sort by newest or by price. Search results and country pages follow the ranking score, then the newest listings.
4. The Featured section
Listings in the homepage Featured section are there because the seller earned a spotlight through our seller referral programme. This is not paid advertising.
5. What does not affect the order
No seller can pay Velor to be placed higher. We don't rank by the commission Velor earns on a sale, and reviews are never hidden or reordered because of their rating. See our review policy.
